StylesDifferent finishes are possible. Faux metal, antique look or others. You can decide to mount it on wood or marble and also choose to add a name plaque. You can choose different styles, colors and shapes to fit your likings and home.
When

The best time to come for your baby casting experience is between the age of 2 and 6 weeks. Baby bums are preferably done between 2 and 4 weeks old, please book your appointment during pregnancy or right after birth to avoid disappointment.
Time

The casting session lasts anywhere from half and hour to an hour. The material is only on the baby for 60 seconds for hands and feet and around 7 minutes for the bum.

Transitions is located in a beautiful wooded rural area in Notre-Dame, a scenic drive only 20 minutes north of Moncton.

Since Lidia is creating custom made casts the prices vary but indicative prices are posted on her blog. Prices may change without further notice.
Material
____
Lidia works with the following materials during casting sessions: Alginate (made mostly out of algae) Plaster bandages (medical grade), dental fast setting alginate and 100% cotton fiber and nylon fiber. Clients have the opportunity to read the material safety data sheets before she apply any material.
The process
____
Soon after you arrive. Lidia makes the mother and baby comfortable and prepare them for casting, then she follows with the mold taking. She will then give you the opportunity to finish feeding, changing and cuddling the baby, You'll finish your experience by admiring your baby mold and dream of the gorgeous result. As always, Lidia will bring your cast to your home if you like.

Casting is safe and fun for any healthy baby. A casting session itself is a wonderful experience.
